Getting Dumped Hurts Like Hell
A new study highlights the similarities between physical pain and social rejection. When recently dumped individuals were asked to view a picture of their ex, an fMRI scan revealed that their brain was active in the same areas that process physical pain.

Wow! That makes a lot of sense because if you think about it a lot of people find it hard to forgive or move on. It's like the cut is so deep that it causes people to put up a wall to protect that cut. More cuts only cause the wall to stay up longer and stronger.
